Dear Lammersville Families,
Our week began with a special visit from our County Superintendent, Mr. Mousalimas, and Dr. Nicholas. On Tuesday we were pleased to host Governing Board Member, Mr. Pombo, as he visited classrooms and ate lunch with our primary students. All of our visitors had wonderful things to say about our students, teachers, and staff members.
Classroom Spelling Bees took place on Tuesday and the top two students from each class were invited to participate in our School Spelling Bee on October 25th. Wednesday was a fun filled night of science hosted by the Sandia Lab and I was pleased to see students from each of our grade levels in attendance. It was wonderful to see students and parents exploring each of the activities with enthusiasm and curiosity.
I would like to remind all 8th grade students and parents that Mountain House High School is hosting an information night for the Mustang Early College Pathway Program on Thursday, October 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the MHHS multi-use room. Our 8th grade students will also be taking the Delta College Placement test in preparation for their high school registration that is just around the corner.
Our 5th grade students will participate in their D.A.R.E. Graduation on October 26th at 6:30 p.m. All of the students have been working hard and having a blast with Officer Abercrombie and I know that we have a special evening in store as the students show off all that they have learned.
Great things are happening here at Lammersville Elementary School and I look forward to seeing all of you at our LSF Harvest Carnival on October 22nd.
