Welcome to Lammersville elementary school!!!
HOME of the lions!!!

Celebrating OVER 140 years of education

__________________________________________________________________________________
Dear Lammersville Families,

Thank you to our wonderful team of music teachers!  Mrs. Heinrich, Mr. DeCarie, Mrs. Saunders, Ms. Galbraith, and Ms. Cablay have done an excellent job in creating a music program that has an excellent blend of foundational skills, fun, and musical rigor.  I am looking forward to our K-4 Spring concert that will take place on Tuesday, April 14th at 6:30 p.m. in the multi-use room.

SAVE THE DATES!  Open House and our Inaugural Innovation Night will be held on Tuesday, May 8th.  Be sure to stop by the Infinity Lab to see live demonstrations from our students on Makey Makeys, Coding, Ozobots, Robotics, Rokenboks, Rube Goldberg Challenge Machines, and more!  Our drama students will be presenting their spring play “Murder at the Malt Shop” on Wednesday, May 9th at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now in the front office; Adults are $5.00 and Children over the age of three are $2.00.

It is hard to believe but CAASPP testing is just around the corner.  Testing for 3rd-8th grade students will begin the week of April 23rd and will span for approximately two weeks.  Please speak to your student’s teacher for class specific testing dates as it is best to refrain from planning a vacation or medical/dentist appointments during the designated testing window.

While our school year is quickly coming to an end, we still have much to do.  For the month of May, we will be focusing on the Character Counts Pillar of Citizenship.  Families may reinforce this trait at home by discussing what it means to be a “good neighbor”, helping to make things better by sharing ideas, and the importance of volunteering or giving back.

Take care,

 Irene Busuttil
