California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF)

CJSF: The purpose of the California Junior Scholarship Federation, a statewide organization with over 600 chapters, is to foster high standards of scholarship, service, and citizenship among students in California’s public, private, and charter junior high and middle schools.


Qualifications: To qualify for CJSF membership this trimester, follow these guidelines: 

  1.   You must earn a total of 8 points for 4 classes.  
  2.   No points are earned for PE or Elective Classes.
  3.   CJSF points are granted as follows:

           A    = 3 points

           B    = 1 point

           C    = 0 points

        One additional point shall be granted for a grade of “A” or “B” in an Honors or Advanced level course up to a maximum of 2 points per trimester. D/F = will be debarred from membership if received in ANY class

  1.  Semester membership is based on work done in the previous semester. You will need to share ALL grades received in the past trimester.
  2.   Poor digital citizenship or suspensions will debar you from membership or CJSF-sponsored events.
  3.   You must RE-APPLY EACH trimester to be a member
  4. All members must complete a minimum of 5 volunteer hours each trimester
